Q&A's
How big are your cupcakes?
The cupcakes are approximately 50 mm x 38 mm. Mini cupcakes are available if required. Please email or telephone to discuss.
Do the cupcakes need to be stored in the fridge overnight for consumption the next day?
No, this is not necessary or advisable for any of the cakes. Simply keep them in a cool place in their box or ideally transfer them to a cake tin. The only exception is the chocolate ganache icing that can be found on the 'Chocoholic' flavour or if chosen as part of the 'Create Your Own' range. This particular cake or if has this type of icing must be kept in the fridge.
What is the period of notice required for ordering cupcakes?
The minimum is 7 days unless a contracted arrangement in place. We will try to accommodate any shorter requests.
Where do you deliver ?
We look to deliver predominantly in and around London although we are happy to consider any requests outside these delivery areas.
If the cupcakes are delivered on a Friday will they be alright for Sunday or Monday?
We recommend that our cupcakes are at best consumed within 2 days of delivery although they are known to keep for up to 7 days if kept in a cool and air tight container.
Do your cupcakes contain nuts and what if I or a family member suffers from allergies?
We do use nuts in some of our cupcakes. We will make every attempt to accommodate any special requests including the removal of certain ingredients if you suffer from any allergies. We would be happy to discuss further by email or by phone. Ultimately though we can not guarantee any of our cupcakes and sprinkles contain any ingredients that potentially bring on an allergic reaction. Neither would the company be held liable for any reaction to the cakes.
When do you deliver for an event such as a wedding?
We are happy to deliver on or before the day of any formal event.
For large events do you arrange the set up at the venue?
Yes, as part of our service we will be amenable to initially setting up the cupcakes as you require. Any stand or tier can be loaned as part of the package. We will request a deposit for the use of tiered stands and would be refundable subject to no damage.
Do you send cupcakes through the post?
No, we largely deliver by hand depending on location and distance. For all other occasions by courier.
How do I know the cupcakes will not arrive damaged?
We have extensive experience delivering our cupcakes. They are also delivered in secure packaging and we are confident they will arrive in perfect condition.
What time will my cupcakes be delivered?
We will deliver cupcakes by hand free of charge within 5 miles of our business address. Outside this distance we will charge a delivery cost. See our ‘Placing Orders’ page for full details. If a courier service is used the cakes will be delivered between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. Please note that for all cupcake deliveries a signature is required by the recipient or person acting on behalf of the recipient.
Do you deliver at weekends or on public holidays?
We will deliver between 8am and 6pm weekdays and between 9am and 12 noon on a Saturday, unless otherwise or specifically agreed. We will not deliver on bank holidays unless specially agreed. See our ‘Placing Orders’ page for full details.
What about if I change my mind on an order made after I have booked?
We will collect a minimum half of the order price up front on booking. Any fee paid will only be refunded if cancelled in excess of 14 days before the order date.
How do I pay for my order?
We strongly recommend that you make any payment through our PAYPAL link on the order page. Alternatively a cheque can be sent by post to our registered business address or payment can be made by bank transfer (we can provide bank details on request). Any order or booking will only be confirmed on receipt of this and must be received at least 7 days before the order due date. Any remaining part of the order fee outstanding can be paid on or before delivery of the cakes (Cheques will only be accepted if received more than 10 days before order date). We do not allow any outstanding fee to run past the delivery date. Please ring should you wish to discuss payment options further.
Do you follow any food hygiene or regulatory practice ?
The Company has in place a strict hygiene practice. We comply with Environmental Health requirements and hold the relevant qualifications and licences issued by the local council. We also have in place PI Insurance to the value of 5 million pounds. Ultimately we understand the importance of all our clients health and safety whilst ensuring your cakes arrive in perfect condition.
